This is a class for our newest or youngest skaters. This is where to start if you have never skated, or need extra help to get safe. Children can bring grownups into class with them so this is a great opportunity for families to roll together. Adults are only permitted in this class when accompanying a child. |
A class for skaters that are climbing the skill ladder. This class will challenge all participants to pick up essential skills beyond the beginner level. Its a great development opportunity with a mix of skills from a number of different skate sports added in for a challenge. |
Check out our SELF ASSESMENT skills charts to help you choose your class. |

This is the perfect place to start for those with around zero skate skills. This class is based on the DSS 5 S's and aims to teach you the basics of safety standing, stability, skating, and an intro to stopping. For new skaters who are still flailing, falling, shaky and wobbly or carry anxiety and fear, we will get you up, rolling, controlling your direction and keeping yourself safe.
|
Feel like the grown ups class is more your style? Once you are independent and safe and have started working on your speed control and stopping skills, this class will take you the rest of the way. You don't have to be super at your basic skills, in fact you might still consider yourself a beginner, but if you're certainly able to cruise around safely and stable enough to try new things, then this is where you need to be. |
ONLINE TICKETS are the best!
Prebooking helps to:
- Ensures both coaches and skaters can be in class on time.
- Eliminates ques, holdups, payment processing and paperwork
- Ensure we have the right amount of coaches.
Please purchase tickets at your earliest convenience (we love bookings by 3pm skate day) to assist us with planning. Skate Gym is a structured coaching skills and movement session, not a casual skating session. Please be on time for your class.
Class Etiquette:
Please use main carpark. Coaching staff only at entrance.
You may enter the stadium 5 mins prior to your class only. Skaters may start getting gear on any time outside (HOT TIP: Put kids safety gear in at home so then it's just skates to go).
Please DO NOT crowd the foyer or block the entrance/exit. Move well out of the way of main entrance to the building, the court and the hallway. If there is no room, please remain outside.
If we are running late, it's because of a good reason. Your patience is appreciated.
6pm class is not permitted to keep skating during the 7pm class. 7 pm class are not permitted to skate early. Non skaters must not play on the skate floor.
Unless granted by a coach or in an emergency, parents are not to walk out on the coaching floor.
Check your toe stops, are they worn down and scratching the sports court?
